About An Erie County landmark, Fuhrman's Cider Mill celebrated 110 years in business in 2006 producing fresh pressed, flash pasteurized pure apple cider from local orchards with no preservatives. We also offer our own fresh Concord grape juice, apple-grape, cherry flavored cider, and hot mulled-cider after Halloween. Cider is
pressed daily through our busy season. Scheduled tours have been
given for generations. Students, Scouts, and large families have
enjoyed our interactive tour of cider
pressing the old fashioned way, using the original grinder and
press. Customers are welcome to observe this rarely seen and
nearly lost art (mornings) as space allows. We bring 15+ varieties of apples from our 5th generation farm - John F. Schultz & Sons - in nearby North East in locally made wooden baskets: 8qts, 4qts, and 3lb. bags. Fruit baskets and gift packs are available and naturally, our own fresh picked peaches, plums, prunes and grapes. Apples perfume the air in beautiful Belle Valley on days when we cook sweet apple butter, also Dutch style, with no sugar added. Our butters and Old Fashioned Apple Gel have faithful fans around the country. The in-house bakery's claims to fame include: HOMEMADE soft German pretzels; pies, some sugar-free; breads (try Walnut Raisin Cider Bread, toasted!), pepperoni balls (baked, not fried), sweet rolls; the BEST Springerlies- a pillow of anise crunch; cookie trays, holiday coffee cakes and bread baskets, all baked to order for your office or family, or right from the oven on your ride to work with a cup of fresh brewed coffee from our coffee bar. Explore our selection of Amish products, Pure PA maple syrup products and honeys, fruits, pumpkins, and cornstalks all from Erie County; mums and evergreen wreaths. Also, locally manufactured Troyer Farms snacks; our own slushies from pure apple, apple-grape or cherry flavored cider and hand-dipped cinnamon, cherry, blue raspberry and grape candy apples or caramel-dipped with or without peanuts. You may also find unusual gifts; kid's treats; seasonings; winemaking supplies and helpful hints throughout the store. The staff at Fuhrman's takes pride in being a part of this community treasure and will strive to make your EXPERIENCE as pleasurable and fulfilling as anticipated.
